السودان: مقتل مدنيين بينهم أطفال في أعمال عنف استهدفت مرافق صحية وتغذوية في غرب دارفور
الخرطوم ، 28 أبريل / نيسان 2022 – أعربت منظمة رعاية الطفولة عن قلقها البالغ إزاء تصاعد العنف في مدينتي كيرينك والجنينة في غرب دارفور هذا الاسبوع، حيث اشارت التقارير إلى مقتل ما يزيد عن 200 شخص ، من بينهم 20 طفلاً على الأقل ، ونزوح حوالي 12500 أسرة.
استهدفت أعمال العنف في كيرينك منشآت مدنية ، مثل مستشفى كيرينك الريفي ، الذي يضم مركزًا لتحقيق الاستقرار تم تأهيله وتشغيله مؤخرًا من قبل منظمة رعاية الطفولة، حيث يقدم هذا المركز خدمات التغذية للأطفال الذين يعانون من مضاعفات خطيرة ، بما في ذلك الفحوصات الصحية والعلاج المباشر والإحالة إلى المرافق المتخصصة والخدمات العاجلة المنقذة للحياة. واشارت التقارير الأولية إلى أن هذه المنشآت تعرضت لأضرار كبيرة ونُهبت محتوياتها.
تدعو منظمة رعاية الطفولة جميع أصحاب المصلحة إلى بذل كل جهد ممكن لتحقيق الاستقرار ومنع المزيد من التصعيد ، وحماية المرافق المدنية ، والاستمرار في ضمان وصول المساعدات الإنسانية دون عوائق إلى المجتمعات المتضررة.
قال أرشد ملك ، مدير منظمة رعاية الطفولة في السودان : "لقد أدى هذا العنف المتكرر إلى خسائر فادحة في الأرواح والممتلكات للمجتمعات المتضررة، وما يثير القلق بشكل خاص هي الصدمات النفسية التي يلحقها هذا العنف بالأطفال – الشريحة الأكثر هشاشة ، والتي لها آثار على مدى الحياة ، يجب أن تكون حماية المدنيين - وخاصة الأطفال - أولوية قصوى لجميع الجهات في دارفور".

KHARTOUM, 28 APRIL 2022 – Save the Children is extremely concerned about this week’s escalation of violence in the towns of Kereneik and Geniena in West Darfur, where reports indicate upwards of 200 persons have been killed, including at least 20 children, and some 12,500 families have been newly displaced.
The violence in Kereneik targeted civilian facilities, such as the Kereneik Rural Hospital, which houses a Stabilization Centre that was recently rehabilitated and operationalized by Save the Children. This centre provides nutrition services to children with severe complications, including health investigations, direct treatment, referrals to specialized facilities, and urgent life-saving services. Initial reports indicate that these facilities have sustained significant damage and their contents have been looted.
Save the Children calls on all stakeholders to expend every effort to stabilize the situation and prevent further escalation, protect civilian facilities, and continue to ensure unimpeded humanitarian access to the affected communities.
“This recurring violence has taken a significant toll on communities affected by decades of displacement. Especially concerning is the trauma such violence inflicts on the most vulnerable children, which has life-long repercussions. We believe that the protection of civilians—especially children—should be a top priority for all actors in the Darfur,” said Arshad Malik, Save the Children’s Country Director in Sudan.
