As the number of Covid-19 cases across the African continent rose dramatically this week, health systems that serve some of the most vulnerable and marginalised children and families in the world will come under ever-increasing strain, warns Save the Children.
Save the Children with support from European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) is implementing a nutrition programme targeting malnourished children in Kalamendo and Jabrat Elsheikh localities in Sudan. The nutrition programme involves providing high quality nutrition supplements to help children suffering from Moderately Acute Malnutrion (MAM) and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) recover from the illness.
